Girl Scouts Present "Famous Girl Scouts"

JOIN US Thursday, November 1st, at 4:30pm, in the school’s cafeteria as our Juniors & Cadettes introduce “Famous Girl Scouts!” Each girl has chosen a former famous Girl Scout to portray in honor of Girl Scout Founder, Juliette Gordon Low. Juliette was born on October 31, 1860. She died in 1927 at her home in Savannah, GA, after a long private struggle with breast cancer. In 2012, President Barack Obama posthumously awarded, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian award in the United States, to Juliette Gordon Low for her “remarkable vision,” and celebrates “her dedication to empowering girls everywhere.”
