Today is the last day to postmark your application for the Alabama State Kouncil of Auxiliary Ladies of the Knights of Columbus scholarship.

The ASKALKC invite Catholic women in Alabama to apply for one of the two $750.00 college or trade school scholarships that will be awarded at the State Convention in April 2019. The applicant must be a practicing Catholic and a resident of Alabama. She may be a High School Senior, someone already enrolled in college or a trade school, or a woman who would like to return to college or trade school, or even desiring to pursue a graduate degree. These scholarships are not based solely on GPA!

To apply for the scholarship, please submit the following:

1) A resumé.

2) A cover letter explaining why you desire the scholarship, your plans for your future career, and the reason you feel you deserve the scholarship.

3) Two letters of recommendation: one of which must be from your parish priest.

The resumé and cover letter should be prepared by the applicant, and mailed with the two letters of recommendation as one complete package to:

All applications for these scholarships must be completed as asked and must be postmarked before today, November 30th, in order to be considered.

The applications will be reviewed by a committee of the ASKALKC District Representatives. The two winners will be contacted upon selection in early April. Checks will be made payable to the College or Trade School of the winner’s choice.
